Monthly events of 150+ audience attendance

The Queer Social Club—a collective focused on queer community-building and space-making—and Local Universe collaborate to present the two-step dance social that's taken the city by storm. In the spirit of organizing events centered on cultivating queer joy, fostering connections, and intentionally building queer community, this event invites attendees to pull out their cowboy hat, shine up that bespoke bolo, and come pardner-up to dance with someone new and hang with fellow country queers.

The event has everything to help attendees connect through the historic love of country dancing—beginner Texas two-step lessons by instructors Wild Earp and Michelle Billingley, liquid courage from Judson & Moore’s house distilled spirits, a live band to get the crowd swinging, and prizes awarded to the best dressed in the room.

[Swappin’ Boots is] a safe, inclusive environment to hoot, holler, and meet new friends from every corner of the queer community.
